By using recycled materials, the proportion of recycled copper can be significantly increased. The manufacturing process therefore supports HPW’s sustainability strategy of using resources efficiently and further reducing the ecological footprint of its production.

COPPER CATHODES
Copper cathodes and recycled scrap of the highest material purity and quality are used in the manufacturing process for Cu-OF round wire.
CASTING MACHINE
Our UPCAST® multi-strand system offers flexible scalability: Each strand has its own cooler at the casting furnace, through which the oxygen-free wire is cast using the continuous casting process. The wire is then drawn onto the individual coils by a motorized drive.
CU-OF-WIRE
The result of the UPCAST® process is a copper round wire of the highest quality, which can be customised to meet specific customer requirements in terms of surface finish and diameter. Thanks to precise process control, the finished product meets the individual customer requirements. At the same time, the process sets new standards in terms of sustainability: energy-efficient processes, optimized use of raw materials and a high level of recyclability guarantee environmentally friendly and future-proof production.
