Successful capital increase

HPW Metallwerk GmbH (HPW), a leading manufacturer of high-performance copper wires for e-mobility, wind power and other industrial applications, has successfully completed a capital increase in the 2-digit million euro range. In addition to the existing shareholders, further investors have been won over to the innovative company and have been enthusiastic about its expansion plans.

HPW plans to use the capital increase primarily to further expand its growth strategy in the field of e-mobility. A large amount of the new capital will be used to build up capacity for 800 volt technology in Europe. In addition, HPW will start series production at the Garsten site and continue to drive forward the development of the site in the USA.

As in previous years, HPW remains on course for growth in the pioneering market for insulated high-performance flat wires. In the past financial year 2024/2025, HPW recorded a significant increase in the core segment of e-mobility in the high 2-digit percentage range compared to the previous year. Group sales totalled around 185 million euros (previous year: 160 million euros)

Dr Ewald Koppensteiner, CEO of HPW: "We intend to use the proceeds from the capital increase to further expand our position as a market and technology leader. HPW is focussing primarily on insulation systems with system voltages of up to 1200V and above.”
